With a lineup of voice/saxophone/bass, the Vienna-based trio slowklang creates unorthodox, decelerated soundscapes that exist between song form and advanced improvisation. Improvisation meets atmospheric sounds, spontaneity meets emotionality.

The foundation for their collective music-making lies in their own compositions and arrangements: a dedication to sound and the joy of experimenting with instruments and sounds always forms the essence of this band.

Unconventional, sometimes quiet, sometimes tension-filled, fragile and brutal, groovy, then free again, the trio creates a refreshing, varied band sound.

In der Besetzung Stimme/Saxofon/Bass erschafft das in Wien beheimatete Trio slowklang unorthodoxe, entschleunigte Klangwelten zwischen Songform und avancierter Improvisation. Improvisation trifft auf sphärische Klänge, Spontaneität auf Emotionalität.

Die Basis für das gemeinsame Musizieren liegt in ihren eigenen Kompositionen und Bearbeitungen: die Hingabe an den Klang und die Freude am Experimentieren mit den Instrumenten und Sounds bilden hierbei immer die Essenz dieser Band.
